1. This book contains the advance sheets, practical exercises, case studies and
summary sheets you will require during the leadership blocks of instruction
while attending the Officer Basic Course at Fort Benjamin Harrison. It is
orgainized in the sequence in which the material is presented and is designed to
help you the company grade combat service support officer to prepare for
your role as a leader in the AirLand Battle.

2. The benefits you will derive from the leadership instruction will be in proportion to the efforts you make. A few general rules apply:

Do the required readings. In order to participate in class, you must have assimilated the background. In addition, there are teaching points and concepts that will not be discussed in class but for which you are responsible. b. Participate in class. You will learn more from the exchange of ideas with your fellow students than you will from listening to lecture.
