HENRY DRUMMOND was Young born in 1851 in Stirling, Scotland, where his father, who bore the same name, was a justice of the peace. Henry early developed a bent for serious study, and after some preliminary training in private schools was sent to the University of Edinburg, and later to that of Tubingen, in Germany.
