THE present has been carefully collated with an original edition, in the Manks and English languages, supposed to have been printed under the direction of the author.

No alterations have been made from the original, but such as were necessary to adapt it to the Communion Service of the Episcopal church in this country; and nothing has been added, but the note taken from the excellent Companion to the Altar by the Right Rev. Bishop Hobart, of New York, and several Rubricks from the American Book of Common Prayer, which are not in the English Liturgy.
