NOTICE TO SUBSCRIBERS. MESSRS CLARK have the pleasure of forwarding to their Subscribers the first issue for 1856, viz. STIER ON THE WORDS of THE LORD JESUS, Vol. iii., and HENGSTENBERG'S CHRISTOLOGY, Vol. ii. The fourth Volume of STIER will be published this year, and also either the third Volume of the CHRISTOLOGY (which, however, depends on the learned author), KEIL ON JOSHUA, or STIER, Vol. v.―any of which, they feel sure, will be equally satisfactory to the Subscribers. They beg respectfully to invite attention to the contemplated translation of BENGEL'S GNOMON OF THE NEW TESTAMENT, and trust to be able to publish the first portion by the end of the year. The British Quarterly Reviewer remarks that he can conceive no greater boon to the public than a good and cheap translation of this admirable work, which, to use the language of ARCHDEACON HARE, "manifests the most intimate and profound knowledge of Scripture, and which, if we examine it with care, will often be found to condense more matter into a line than can be extracted from many pages of other writers." The work will be published in Five handsome Volumes, demy 8vo. PRICE 288 TO SUBSCRIBERS. MESSRS CLARK would particularly request that intending Subscribers would send in their names as speedily as possible, in order to enable them to complete their arrangements. T. & T.
