Our Church has numbers, wealth, organization, and machinery to a creditable degree; we lack the power which men receive after the Holy Spirit is come upon them. We need souls alive with spiritual power behind our machinery, to make it go. The great means of winning this power is prayer. We need a large number of homes where the inmates gather daily "in one accord in prayer." From such homes will come pastors, preachers, missionaries, and workers full of power. We shall never have a sufficient supply of such workers until we have such homes everywhere training them. The pastors who have written the prayers for this little book have done so with a great desire that they may be useful in increasing the number of homes where stated daily worship is maintained.
