HYMN CCXLIX. C. M.
Jesus Triumphant.

1.

EYOND the glittering starry sky,
Far as th' eternal hills;

BEYOND

There in the boundless worlds of light
Our dear Redeemer dwells.

II.

Immortal angels, bright and fair,
In countless armies shine;
At his right hand with golden harps
They offer songs divine.

III.

They brought his chariot from above,
To bear him to his throne:

Clap their triumphant wings and cry'd,
THE GLORIOUS WORK IS DONE!

HYMN CCL. L. M.

Eternity.

I.

NTO a frame of holy awe,

INTO

Bless'd Spirit, now our spirits draw; Thy sweet, thy solemn influence bring, While of eternity we sing.

II.

Eternity! the dread abode,

The habitation of our GOD;
Eternity! tremendous sounds!

A deep where all our thoughts are drown'd.

321

III.

But an eternity there is,

Of dreadful woe, or joyful bliss;
And fast as time fulfils its round,
We to eternity are bound.

Iv.

Ah! canst thou sinner bear to dwell
In all the fiery deeps of hell;
And is death nothing then to thee,
Death, and a dread eternity?

v.

Ye saints in stedfast faith look up,
Rejoicing in your glorious hope,
This, everlasting bliss secures,
GOD, and eternity are your's.

L

Dismission. P. M.

I.

ORD, dismiss us with thy blessing,
Fill our hearts with joy and peace;

Let us each, thy love possessing,
Triumph in redeeming grace:
O refresh us!

Trav'lling thro' this wilderness.

II.

Thanks we give, and adoration
For thy gospel's joyful sound;
May the fruits of thy salvation
In our hearts and lives abound:
May thy presence

With us evermore be found!

III.

So whene'er the signal's given,
Us from earth to call away;
Borne on angels' wings to heaven,
Glad to leave our cumb'rous clay,
May we ready

Rise and reign in endless day.

The Same. L. M.

I.

ISMISS us with thy blessing, LORD;
Help us to feed upon thy word,

All that has been amiss, forgive

And let thy truth within us live.

II.

Tho' we are guilty, thou art good,
Wash all our works in JEsus' blood;
Give ev'ry fetter'd soul release,
And bid us all depart in peace.

Doxology. L. M.

ORAISE GOD from whom all blessings

PRAISE

Praise him all creatures here below:
Praise him above, ye heav'nly host:
Praise FATHER, SON, and HOLY GHOST.

THE END.
