hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee; and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. John xvii. 24-26.

I Then shall all stand up, and severally say:

Minister. Let us lift up our hearts unto the Lord.

People. We will lift them up.

¶ Then shall be said or sung the following words :

GLORY be to God on high;

And on earth peace; good-will toward

men.

We praise thee, we bless thee, we give thee thanks,

O Father everlasting,

For all thy love to us in Jesus Christ thy Son.

Then shall the Minister say the following Prayers; all kneeling.

FATHER of our spirits; mindful of Christ's

life and teachings, his death upon the cross, his resurrection and ascension, and his seat at thy right hand, we have partaken of this bread and this wine in remembrance of him. We beseech thee to sanctify them and us: and may we be made one with each other in the fellowship of the same Holy Spirit, and one with thee and thy dear Son.

And in this our communion we remember, and beseech thee to remember and bless, the multitudes of every name who are joined with us in one household of faith, our brethren and sisters in Christ throughout the world.

We remember those who have fallen asleep in Christ, and in the joyful hope of resurrection unto eternal life.

We remember the fathers from the beginning of the world; the patriarchs, prophets, apostles, martyrs, and all who have wrought righteousness. We remember all such as journey; all who are in sickness or distress; and we would forgive our enemies, if there be any who have wished or done us ill.

We remember the whole family of man; beseeching thee that the spirits of all flesh may taste of thy grace, and that the ends of the earth may see the salvation of God.

And unto us, O Lord God, vouchsafe such guidance, that as Christians and blameless we may spend the remainder of our lives.

Accept, O holy and ever-blessed Father, these our supplications. May our offerings find favor in thy sight, and be as the odor of spiritual incense. Amen.

BLESSI

LESSED be thou, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hast blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

Blessed be thou, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to thine abundant mercy, hast begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven.

Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing. Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power,

be unto him who sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. Amen.

LORD, our heavenly Father, we thy servants earnestly desire thy fatherly goodness mercifully to accept this our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving; humbly beseeching thee to grant that, by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and obedience to thy will, we may obtain the pardon of our sins and everlasting life.

Here we offer and present ourselves to thee, O Lord, our souls and bodies, as a reasonable, holy, and living sacrifice. And although, through our manifold sins, we feel ourselves wholly unworthy, yet we beseech thee to accept this our bounden duty and service, not weighing our merits, but pardoning our offences, according to thine abundant mercies in Christ Jesus our Lord; through whom all honor and glory be unto thee, O Father Almighty, world without end. Amen.

Here may be sung a Hymn; after which, the Service may be closed with the following Benediction:

THE peace of God, which passeth all un

derstanding, keep our hearts and minds. through Christ Jesus. Amen. Phil. iv. 7.

THE MINISTRATION OF

BAPTISM OF INFANTS.

All those who are present standing up, the Minister shall say:

HEAR

[EAR the words of the Gospel written by St. Mark, in the tenth chapter, at the thirteenth verse:

They brought young children to Christ, that he should touch them; and his disciples rebuked those that brought them. But, when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God. Verily I say unto you, whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein. And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.

Then the Minister shall say:

BELOVED, ye hear in this Gospel the words

of our Lord Jesus Christ, that he commanded the children to be brought unto
