This will be found especially of service to such Students as are without Tutors. Those subjects which chiefly occupy the time of Mathematical Students in the Naval and Military Colleges have received especial attention from the Authors. The greatest care has been used in stating the questions so as to render them easily understood. Those problems which in their enunciation and solution bespeak a refined analytical generalization, have been simplified to render them more generally useful, or have been altogether excluded.
